A tragic road accident has resulted in the loss of eight lives at New Ayaase.

Tragically, eight individuals lost their lives in a road accident involving three vehicles at New Ayaase in the Adansi-Fomena District of the Ashanti Region on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 22, 2025.


During the incident, a sprinter vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming long bus from Kumasi, which also caused the Corolla to veer off the road. Isaac Adjei, the Assembly Member for the Fomena East Electoral Area, informed Citi News that the impact was so severe that the Sprinter split into two, with one half somersaulting off the road.
